Got a call from a bloke sounding all official, saying there was something wrong with my tax records linked to my NI number and that I needed to act fast or else I’d be in big trouble. They told me to press 1 to chat with someone about it. I just hung up straight away. I mean, why would any tax office phone me from a mobile instead of sending a letter? They don’t even have my mobile number. Smells like a typical scam to me.
