Got a call from some robotic voice saying “HMRC here, your official letter was returned to us. Legal steps will follow. Press 1 to talk to an officer.” First off, why would a government agency rely on a bot and force you to press 1 to speak to anyone? Also, the bizarre part is there was just option 1 - no 2 or 3, nothing else. Bit odd for an official line, don’t you think? Pretty clear this is a scam, so watch out and don’t fall for it.
