Got a call from a supposed MasterCard automated voice claiming someone overseas was trying to use my card for a £600 purchase. It told me to press 1 to block the transaction or some rubbish like that. I cut the call off before the message finished. Didn’t even consider it might be genuine since my banking app always sends a text for every single transaction, whether money goes in or out. Just to be sure, I double-checked anyway 😎
