So this guy said the Office of Fair Trading got in touch with Citizens Advice UK about my debt, not some Bureau or whatever. I told him I was just checking online like he told me and then he started mashing buttons on his phone and hung up. Bit risky pretending to be from well known places like that. Folks might actually fall for it.

I got a call from someone with a Chinese accent who spoke really clearly, claiming to be from a Credit Risk Agency working for the FCA. When I asked them to repeat their company name, I told them it seemed like a scam straight away (I knew something was off). As soon as I said that, they hung up on me, which just made me more sure. Seems to me they’re likely scammers, just trying out different tricks with all the random calls I've been getting.

Proper rude bloke - said he was from some 'debt checking' place. I asked if we'd ever been in touch before, and he told me my number was given to him. When I said I didn’t want any cold calls, he kept cutting me off and then just hung up. Kinda funny really. Still, it’s annoying and feels weird getting into a spat with some random person ringing me out of the blue!

Some bloke rang me but wouldnt give his name, just said I owed money. I told him to jog on and ended the call. He rang again, this time spewing some of the rudest, nastiest stuff I've ever heard - and I’m not easily shocked. I said I’d report him for abusive calls, he just told me to do it. Hung up, but he rang back straight away. Didn’t pick up the second time. If you get a call from this number, be ready for some proper nasty language.

Some bloke claiming to be John rang me up, sounded like he had a strong foreign accent. Said my creditors gave them info and that I supposedly got unsecured loans, which is totally wrong. I just told him nope and he ended the call. Blocked the number. Had calls like these loads of times and they always use different numbers. I’m on the TPS list but they just don’t care.

Someone rang me on my mobile and already knew my name. Claimed to be from Citizens Advice, but I wasn’t convinced so I challenged him. Said he could sort out my debt problems. When I asked for an address, he only gave me Manchester M24. I told him he sounded like a scammer and he ended the call saying he didn’t want to talk to me anymore. I’m just really curious how he got hold of my name and number. When I pressed him about where he got his info, he said Equifax.

Got a call on Saturday morning 25/06/16; could hear a lot of noise like a call centre behind the line. After some shuffling, a bloke with an English accent said my first name - I acted like I didn’t know him and asked who he was and where he was calling from. He said he was "Kevin" (don’t remember the surname) and asked how I was doing, using my first name again trying to get me to reply. I kept asking where he was calling from and then he just hung up. When I dialled back, all I got was the Talk Talk automated message or a not available tone.

Some bloke rang me saying he was from Citizens Advice and claimed I had some unpaid debts, which I definitely don't. I told him straight away and he said sorry before hanging up. Not sure how this fits into a scam, but I'd say keep calls short and don't give out any personal info or agree to anything, just to be safe.
