Got a text saying EVRI tried to deliver a package early this morning at 6.15am, but I wasn’t even home. Definitely a scam.

Got a text early this morning from EVERI saying “Missed you, your parcel’s at the local depot” around 6:15am. Kinda weird because I’m actually expecting something from EVERI, but I got an email yesterday saying the parcel was still with the sender, so I couldn’t track or click anything. I hardly ever deal with EVERI, so now I’m wondering if this is some phishing scam or maybe their data’s been compromised? Feels a bit fishy to me.

This has scam written all over it. Someone messaged saying “Hey Mum, I’m using a mate’s phone cause I smashed mine and theirs battery’s about to run out. Could you WhatsApp me on my new number 07931932029 please x” - seemed fishy right away.
