Got a call out of the blue trying to sell me some online maths classes. Definitely one of those cold calls I wasn’t expecting and wasn’t interested in.

Saw a missed call but no voicemail was given. After checking what others said, I decided to block the number.

Someone rang up saying my kid needed extra lessons, and straight away asked for their name and which school they attended. I told them it was pretty cheeky to be asking for personal info about a child and then asked if they even knew who I was. They didn’t have a clue and got really hostile. When I mentioned that their attitude was worrying, especially since I work in safeguarding, they just got even angrier and wouldn’t back off.
