Got a text from 07719354622 claiming to be HMRC. The message said something like ‘you qualify for a tax refund of £228.37, click this link to claim’. Obviously, I didn’t tap the link. Instead, I logged into my official HMRC online account and there was nothing there about any refund. Not shocked at all, it’s clearly a scam. Plus, the legit HMRC website is gov.uk, not some weird [###] domain like the one in the text!
