Got a call from a guy with a really posh English accent - sounded too perfect, like a playback. He said he was from the National Crime Agency and warned me that my National Insurance number was linked to crimes overseas. Apparently, there was a warrant out for my arrest later that day. He told me to press 1 to stop it and follow some steps. Total scam, obviously. I just ignored it and ended the call. I get loads of dodgy calls like this and usually have a chuckle, but this one felt especially grim and sneaky, like it was meant to scare people who might be vulnerable.
