Got a call from this number saying they were from a crime prevention magazine, wanting to know if I wanted to advertise with them. Did a quick search and found out it was a scam. Blocked the number so they won't bother me again.

Got a call from a woman named Jackie claiming she was with some Regional crime prevention dept, but then tried to pitch me advertising space in a magazine. I asked her to email the prices and she just said fine and ended the call. Felt dodgy right away cause she never said which region or gave any real details. Pretty sure it was a scam.

A lady rang this morning, 13/03/19 around 10am from this same number saying she was with the regional crime prevention team. I asked if she was really from the police, then she just cut me off. These scammers really need to be put behind bars, enough is enough.

Got a load of scammers ringing up pretending to be from some crime prevention agency. I just kept them chatting, made up some daft story about a burglar nicking my garden gnome. Never gave any details like my address or anything, just mucked about to waste their time.

Got loads of calls from this number over the last week. The first call was some regional crime prevention ad nonsense, told them straight away to take me off their list and stop calling me. After that, there were quite a few missed calls or they just dropped the call as soon as I picked up. I’ve blocked them now.

Got a phonecall from someone saying they were involved in regional crime prevention. I asked if he was with Cumbria police. He said nah, Lancashire. Then I checked if he was from Lancaster police. Again, no. Claimed they partner with local councils for crime stuff. I asked which council exactly, he said Cumbria council. Then he changed it to helping businesses in Carlisle. I asked if that was Carlisle city council he worked for. Right after that, he just cut the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be West Midland Police. I said it was funny cos I’m with the police too. They just ended the call straight away. Wonder why lol? Blocked them instantly.

Got a call from some lot claiming to sell ad space in a crime prevention magazine. The deal sounded way too good to be real, and surprise surprise, it is a total scam.
