Got a message from some random number saying it was Barclays. They said a big payment to Argos got refused and told me to ring them to sort it out. Classic scam stuff. The funny thing is, I don’t even have an account with Barclays!

I got a text saying it was from Argos, claiming that Barclays rejected a payment of £827.67 to Argos. It never said Barclaycard, just Barclays - and we don’t actually have an account with Barclays anymore. My Android messages app flagged it as possible spam, probably because it’s seen stuff like this before. Also, when I check Google Messages on the web, the text doesn’t even show up there. Feels fishy to me.
