I picked up and a recorded female voice told me it was Barclays fraud team, saying there was a £5,000 purchase on my Barclaycard. They asked me to press 1 if I didn’t recognise the transaction, but didn’t say who it was with. It seemed a bit dodgy, so I just ended the call. Later, I checked with Barclays directly on their website and they confirmed it was a scam, plus my card hadn’t been used at all. Really glad I didn’t press any buttons, could’ve been a total nightmare.
