On the 22nd November 2023 I got a call on my phone from some automated voice claiming Amazon was about to charge me £79 for a subscription renewal. It said if I wanted to talk to an agent I should press 1. I just hung up and blocked the number straight away. This scam has been around for ages but sadly many people still get tricked and end up losing money.
