Got a text saying my HSBC account was frozen due to some security issue, with a link to sort it out. Total scam though, since I closed my HSBC account ages ago, like over a decade. Heard this type of scam is called “smishing.” Honestly, best to steer clear of the message altogether and definitely don’t tap any links - they take you to a bogus site trying to steal your banking details. Just trash the text straight away, and if you actually have an HSBC account, ring up the bank directly to check and let them know.
