Got a text saying Royal Mail tried to deliver a parcel but no one was home, with a link to reschedule delivery. Thing is, I was already expecting a delivery from them and the parcel was waiting in my garden! Didn’t click on the link just to be safe, doesn’t seem legit.

This is definitely an old trick. I wouldn’t recommend clicking on any links as they might be loaded with malware. Instead, take a screenshot or copy the message and send it to '[email protected]'. Your report will be passed straight on to the National Cyber Security Centre. They look into the source and content of suspicious links to tackle phishing scams. This is part of their proper reporting system covering dodgy calls, texts, emails, websites and more.
