Got a text from EE saying they couldn’t sort my most recent bill. They’re telling me to log in at this link [#]ee[###]-ref1g3t[###]?ee=2 or else I’ll get charged extra. Bit fishy if you ask me!

Didn’t get any calls or messages from EE on their app, so I’m pretty sure this is just a scam.

‭+44 7716 338757‬ Received a message supposedly from EE saying there was a problem with my recent bill and included a link to fix my info. It looked really genuine and I might have fallen for it if I actually used EE as my provider.

I haven’t logged in anywhere since my payment isn’t due yet, but EE are saying they can’t process my monthly bill. It’s strange because I didn’t even try to make a payment yet.

Got a message from EE saying they couldn’t handle my most recent bill and to prevent any extra charges I should update my details by logging in at (link removed). Seems like a scam - definitely don’t tap the link!

Got a call from someone claiming to be EE but I think it was a scam. They kept asking for my credit card details, which seemed really dodgy. Definitely wasn’t legit!

Got a text from ‘EE’ saying they had trouble charging some made-up account of mine. I followed the earlier advice, blocked the number and flagged it. I’d got rid of the first message, but then another popped up not long after.

This number, the scam, and the link really should be reported to the police. Just Google 'action fraud' and head to the 'police.uk' site, then find the 'reporting' area. If you managed to dodge the scam, report it as phishing - no need to sign up or anything. But if you were tricked, make sure to report it as a crime. The police only have limited info because hardly anyone reports these. If we all take a bit of responsibility and report every one, they’d be much better equipped to deal with it.

Just got a message about some tax refund I supposedly didn’t claim last year. Not sure if it’s legit or some kinda scam, but it’s definitely made me a bit wary. They’re asking for bank details to send the money, which sounds dodgy to me. Anyone else get something similar? Feels like a trick to get info. Wouldn’t recommend handing over anything without double-checking first!

This morning I got both an email and a text about some sort of tax refund, but it felt totally dodgy to me. Definitely a scam in my opinion.

I got a text from 07716 338757 saying I have a tax refund from 2019 thats still unpaid. There was a link that they told me to click on. When I tried on my iPhone, a warning screen popped up saying it could be a scam. Glad to see my phone is helping protect me from these dodgy messages.

Got a text at half past three in the morning from +44 7716 338757 claiming I had some tax refund waiting from GOV.UK. They included a link, but I didn’t click on it at all. Felt a bit dodgy, so just ignored it.

Got a message from 077166338757 saying my husband’s owed some tax refund. He clicked the link without thinking at first but then thought nah, this seems dodgy and shut it straight away without entering anything. I’ve sent the text over to HMRC to have a look. Phoned the number from our home phone and it’s on O2 network. Seriously, do not fill out any form if you get this - it’s definitely a scam.

Just got a message saying I’m owed a tax refund, but the link takes you to a site that looks kinda official, but definitely isn’t gov.uk - they’re asking for my bank and card info, which seems really dodgy. Definitely smells like a scam.
