Got a text saying they’d broken their phone and this was a temp number till it’s fixed at the shop. It said something like, “Mum, just message me back here on 07716120036 once you’ve saved it xx.” Pretty sure it’s a total scam, don’t trust it at all.

Got this message on 6th October 2022, said something like, "Hey Mum, I've broken my phone, so just use this new number till it's fixed at the shop. Ping me on 07716120036 and tell me when you've saved it xx". Since both my kids live abroad, it was a close call, coulda tricked me. Stay alert, folks!

Got a text claiming to be from a relative saying their phone is busted and asking me to save a number from the message. Total scam, don’t fall for it - best thing is to block and ignore straight away.

Got a text from 07716120036 saying their phone was busted and to reply to another number that was in the same message. Thing is, the message actually came from +447521262300. It asked to reply back to the number ending in 036. When you do, they tell you to save that number. It popped up on my husband’s phone with a “hi mum” at the start, so I’m pretty sure it’s a scam or something dodgy going on.
