03/04/2020 Got a text claiming to be from my car insurance, saying I’ve got money waiting because of a past accident I was in. Thing is, I’ve already been waiting ages for my claim payout and this message looked fishy. The text said something like “FUNDS RELEASED: You have money reserved under your name for the accident you had, for details fill in: .......” No mention of my actual insurer anywhere, just no name at all. Definitely a scam, don’t trust these messages!

I got a text saying “your accident funds are ready and waiting with your name on them, just click here to transfer” with a dodgy link attached. I never had any accident so it was obvious to me it’s a scam, especially with the terrible grammar they used.

I got a text from some “accident hotline” saying I have money set aside from an accident I never had. They wanted me to click a link to transfer it or something. Definitely dont open the link, it’s a scam!
