This is a total con. They call up pretending to be your daughter, giving a new phone number and then ask you to send money to some bank account. Apparently, her online banking won’t work for 24 hours, so she needs you to transfer £960 for her. I decided to mess with them and asked for the account details. Then I told them I’d sent the money. I’m curious how they’ll react when they realise no cash ever landed in the account. Thing is, they haven’t got a clue who I really am or anything about my background. They’ve picked on the wrong person.
