He said he was ringing regarding an invoice that, quite frankly, we've never received nor have any recollection of. When I pressed him for details, he refused to disclose the name of his company or the supposed outstanding sum. It was evident he was trying to pull a fast one on us financially. He insisted that we were under contract with them, but we have no record of such an arrangement. His manner was rather cheeky, especially when he mentioned needing to 'gather evidence' to resolve the matter; when I inquired further about this supposed evidence, he suddenly became very evasive. When my wife mentioned involving the police, he promptly ended the call.
