This dude with an accent had no clue how to pronounce my name, and then out of nowhere he starts belting out Jingle Bells right into the phone! Totally random.

This number has rang me three times today. Each time, I either caught a few words in poor English before it ended or the call just cut off straight away. I'm registered with the TPS, so only proper calls should get through, but this definitely isn’t one of them.

Got a call from someone saying they were carrying out a consumer survey around here and asked if I had a minute to answer some questions. I asked where they got my phone number from, and they insisted they weren’t trying to sell anything, just gathering info for a survey. Their English was pretty poor though. I ended up hanging up and blocked the number. Then they called again a few hours later from a nearly identical number but just hung up when I picked up. Proper annoying stuff.

Somebody rang me saying they were from the government, but the moment I asked how they got my details, they just hung up on me.

Got a call saying it was from UK benefits, but it was definitely a scam! Be careful, they’re trying to trick people.

Some bloke called me about claiming UK benefits and payment protection, right? When I asked him nicely to take me off their list under GDPR, he just snapped and said he couldn’t do it. Then he started swearing like mad at me before just hanging up. I’ve put in a complaint to Ofcom about it all.
