I just received a rather peculiar call from this number. The chap identified himself as Derek from the Citizens Advice Bureau, but before I could grasp what he was on about, he abruptly ended the call. Quite the odd encounter, if you ask me!

Blimey! A call from the credit investigation department caught me off guard. I can’t believe I even had a chat with them-such a numpty! Yet, I tend to give folks the benefit of the doubt. Ended up signing up for insurance on the spot! Let’s just hope I've made a wise choice and I'm properly covered. Fingers crossed!

I received a call from what they claimed was the credit investigation department. However, I have my doubts about its authenticity. I've attempted to ring them back multiple times, but it seems no one is picking up. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Just like others, I got a call from someone saying they’re from Citizens Advice Bureau in Birmingham, claiming I’ve got debt they can help sort out. I told the lad straight away it was a scam and he just hung up! I first got this call on 9/2/17, then another one today from a different number, 07714 748182, same story, and again he hung up when I said I knew it was dodgy. Tried ringing back both numbers but they’re not recognised. I’ve blocked both now on my phone.

This number just rang me up and they wanted me to verify if I was the person linked to my phone number, then mentioned a name?? How on earth do they get these names? I didn't say yes to anything, asked who they were and what they wanted, but then the call just dropped. Feels like a scam to me (got a gut feeling and I’m normally spot on). Best to be careful people, block it right after you end the call.

Claimed to be from a debt collection agency. They only asked for me by my first name. When they mentioned an unpaid debt I supposedly had, I asked what debt they were talking about as I don’t owe anything. The person just said nothing and ended the call. I’ve blocked the number now. Total scam! Usually I’d ignore calls like this but was expecting something important so I picked up. Definitely not doing that next time.

Got a call claiming to be from Citizens Advice, said the DWP had contacted them about some unsecured debt. They mentioned a firm I dealt with before, but ive already cleared everything. When I told him I didnt owe anything, he just called me a liar. Total scam, blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming he was from Citizens Advice Bureau, saying he could "sort out my debt" because apparently my info was "flagged by the government bureau for financial assistance"! When I asked for proof, like an email, he got all shifty and said he’d have to end the call or I could visit their office in Birmingham. I told him that was daft since I live down here in the South West. Naturally, I just hung up on him! This dodgy number’s popped up a few times before, so it’s not the first attempt.

Got a call where the guy just used my first name and asked for me. I asked who they were and he said he was from the citizens advice bureau. I said 'I didn’t think the citizens advice bureau actually called personal mobiles' and he suddenly got awkward and ended the call. Pretty sure it’s a scam!

this number has rung me a couple times over the past couple days. the most recent was at 08:57 today. i didnt get to pick up quick enough, and when i called back, it said "the number you dialled isnt recognised, please check the number". ive gone ahead and added it to my scams list after reading other comments. if it rings again, i'll be careful and answer to try and find out who they are.
