They started ringing me yesterday but I didn’t pick up cos I didnt recognise the number. They called again just now, an asian lady on the line claiming I owed some money. I missed the call initially, then saw it was from a mobile so I rang back on my landline, and it ended up calling my mobile instead! Now I’m a bit worried it might’ve had some kind of link or something dodgy. Decided to block the number just in case.

Some guy called, said his name was Tariq Wilson or something similar. He kept going on about insurance or some kind of debt thing, couldn't really catch everything cause of his accent. When I asked where he got my number from and told him I was registered with the TPF, he just snapped back with "To hell with your Telephone Preference Service!" and then hung up. I’ve blocked the number now.

I received a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from Citizens Advice concerning some outstanding legal fees. When he questioned whether that was accurate and I denied it, he immediately hung up. Seems a bit fishy to me!

17/01/16. This guy has been ringing non-stop all day. He phoned me around 9:40, took ages to say hello, then asked for "the person who owns this phone." Claimed he was from Credit Investigation. I told him straight I wasn’t interested - ended up cutting him off sharp, haha. Tried calling the number back about an hour later, and it said it wasn’t recognised?? Made a public post about this number on Facebook to warn others and make it tougher for him to scam people.

They rang me this morning and again just now but refuse to pick up if I don’t recognise the number or if they don’t leave a message, I won’t bother calling back. From what I’ve read in the comments, loads of folks are dealing with the same hassle. Next time they call, I’m thinking of blasting a loud noise down the line.
