A couple of weeks back, I got a message claiming to be from "Julie's new number," asking me to reply to confirm I’d received it. Fast forward to today, 1st December, and I just received another text requesting that I send £320.10 in cash by the end of the week. At that point, I knew something was off!

I received a text from this number initially identifying herself as Julie, claiming she'd switched to this new number. Soon after, she attempted to solicit a loan from me, suggesting I was her only option for assistance. It was peculiar, as she appeared to have some details about me, but thankfully, I didn't divulge anything. Like many, I know several Julies, which made it quite easy to be misled. She did provide me with an address where the funds were supposedly to be sent. Just a heads up - it's definitely a scam, so stay vigilant!

I received a rather peculiar text from this number, where the sender identified herself as Julie. She claimed she'd just switched to this new number and was in a bit of a bind, asking for a loan since I was her only hope. It was uncanny how much she appeared to know about me, but thankfully, I didn’t give away anything valuable. I've got several mates named Julie, which made me a tad uneasy, as it could’ve easily led to a mix-up. She even provided an address for where the cash was supposedly needed. Just a friendly warning - steer clear of this one; it’s undoubtedly a scam!

Received a request for cash as they claimed to be out of alternatives. They mentioned the name Julie, yet seemed to be aware of my actual name. I do have a mate named Julie, but she would never dream of asking for funds.
