Today, between 4:40 and 6 in the morning, I got a call from someone.

I got a call asking for my credit card details and if I’d had a credit increase. They said they could help me get a refund for the increase but wanted 25% of that amount upfront. They insisted I pay this fee on my card before any contract started. Since they had my email, they sent me a form to sign and send back. When I checked the form, I asked why they needed payment before doing any work, especially when they claimed it was no win no fee. The guy didn’t like that and I told him I wouldn’t be signing anything. Then he just hung up. Watch out for this one!

I picked up when this number rang, but the connection was rubbish and then it just cut off. When I rang them back, it said I’d got the wrong number. Definitely not calling that one again.

I got a call from a number that didn’t seem legit. They actually knew my name, which was weird, but then the line just cut off. When I tried ringing back, the number didn’t even show up as valid. Strange!

I got a call from a woman who said she wanted to talk about raising my credit limit and possibly refunding some interest on my card. She then asked how much my limit had gone up. I told her actually it had gone down instead, and right after that, she hung up. Her voice seemed oddly like someone I’d heard before - probably the same scammer who reached out to me about getting a gadget to block annoying calls.

Got a missed call, so I rang them back but got a message saying “number not valid”. Bit odd, don’t you think?
