Got a call from someone claiming to be from Nationwide Building Society, they even knew my name and postcode. Sounded foreign though. When I said I don’t have a mortgage or any account with Nationwide, they just hung up on me. Proper rude. I’ve blocked the number now. Just checked with Nationwide and they said they only get in touch through an 0800 number anyway.

Got a call from someone saying they were from M&S with a message. They asked me to verify my name first. Apparently, the message was that someone would get in touch about my washing machine insurance. Bit odd if you ask me.

I got a call from someone claiming to be ‘nationwide’. They actually had my full name and where I live! Then they asked if I was still paying off my mortgage. I just said goodbye and hung up. Honestly, it was pretty creepy.

Got a call from a guy who said he was calling from Barclays. Problem is, I’ve never banked with them. He wanted me to verify my postcode, which I did because he gave me an outdated one. Then he started asking if I was still paying a mortgage. When I told him to mind his own business, he just disconnected. Total scammer if you ask me.
