Just like many others, I received a message from +447712554540 that said something like "Congratulations! Your phone number has won £495000 GBP in the Samsung UK/Asia promotion. To claim your prize, validate your unique code: ######; plus your name, address and phone number to validate@gmx." Pretty clearly a scam, so I just blocked the number and moved on. Sorted now.

Got a text at 6:30 in the morning which made me instantly sceptical. It claimed I’d won £485,000 in some Samsung giveaway. When I looked it up online, I found out these scammers use loads of different numbers, so even if you block one, you might still end up getting more annoying calls from others.

Hey, just got a message saying my mobile won £495,000 in some Samsung UK/Asia promo. To claim it they want me to send my name, address and phone number along with some weird "unique code" to emailvalidate@gmx. The message was full of mistakes and looked super sketchy. Probably just a scam.

Just got a message yesterday saying I'd won £479,000 in some Samsung UK/Asia 2017 promotion. It told me to email my name, address, and phone number to [email protected] to claim my prize with a unique ID t82h6. Seems a bit dodgy to me!

Got a text claiming I’d won some Samsung giveaway, but it was totally fishy. They wanted me to share my personal info on a sketchy website link. Honestly, best to just ignore it and definitely don’t bother emailing them like they ask!

Just got a call from some bloke claiming I’d won £400,000 - I was sure it was dodgy right away. If you ever get a message or ring like this, best to ignore it completely. It’s definitely a con.
