Got a text at half six in the morning saying “hi mum, here’s my new number” with a number included. Instantly knew it was dodgy - none of my kids would message that early unless it was something urgent. Also, we don’t say “mum” around here in Middlesbrough, we say “mam.” Didn’t even bother opening the message fully. Who knows what kind of trouble could’ve come from that! Seriously, don’t open these messages, and whatever you do, don’t reply.
