I got a call from this number with a recorded message claiming I’d bought train tickets from Edinburgh to London using my card. It said since it was a strange transaction, I should press a button to get through to ‘City Police’. Obviously, I blocked the call straight away. They were clearly fishing for my bank info! Just a heads up, this trick’s been around for ages. I’m going to pop into my bank just to be safe, but I’m certain it’s a scam. Also, we don’t say ‘City Police’ here in the UK!
