I got a voicemail telling me it was from the tax department. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call pretending to be from the tax office, asking for my National Insurance number. Sounded really dodgy to me. Definitely a scam trying to steal your info, so watch out!

I got a call from this number but it didn’t show up on my caller ID, so I called back and it said the number doesn’t exist? Seems a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call from a lady who sounded Indian, kept pushing to find out my name. She claimed she had some great news from British Gas. Problem is, my place doesn't even have gas hooked up. 000 straight to blocked.

I normally never pick up calls from unknown numbers. But when I did call this one back, it just came up saying * the number wasn't recognised at all*.

someone called me claiming to be from british gas about my account, then asked if i was still a customer. i told them if they really were british gas, they would already know, then they just hung up on me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be British Gas, knew my name and where I live, then asked if I still get my gas from them. I just ended the call.

I’m so fed up with calls from this number. Every time I block it, another one pops up with the last couple of digits changed. They keep saying they’re from British Gas, but when you try calling back, it just rings through to an unknown or wrong number. I’ll block this one too, but I’m sure they’ll just switch the digits and keep ringing. Is there no way to stop these persistent nuisance callers once and for all?

I got a call from a lady claiming to be from British Gas. She said my name and asked me to verify my address and postcode. I wasn't convinced and just ended the call. Then when I tried ringing her back, it told me I’d dialled a wrong number. Fishy if you ask me.

Somebody rang me back but said I’ve got the wrong number, no idea who it was.

kept ringin me thrice but no one said a word when i picked up, so i just blocked the number now.
