Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, and she immediately started asking for security info. When I cut her off and asked her name, she just hung up on me. Total scam attempt!

Someone claiming to be from Nationwide called me and kept calling me Lucy instead of Louise, but managed to get my maiden surname right. They even knew my old house number and postcode. I told them if they were legit they’d have my married name and current address, then they just cut the call. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

I got shouted at when I wouldn’t tell them my name again or give my address. I said if they were really from British Gas, they'd already have that info. She said they were going to cut off my service because I hadn’t paid, and I told her to go ahead since I’ve no money and probably won’t for ages. She started yelling for me to pay, but I just laughed and told her BG can’t disconnect me 'cause I don’t even use gas. Then she swore and hung up on me.
