My mum, who’s got her home down in Devon, got a random call from this number the other day. The person claimed to be from the ‘Devon Energy and Care Department’ and said the firm who put in her solar panels ages ago had gone bust. They reckoned trading standards had passed their details on and wanted to book a ‘free cleaning and check-up’. Problem is, the original solar company is still operating and have heard about lots of similar dodgy calls like this one. Just a heads up to be careful.

They rang me but as soon as my voicemail kicked in they just hung up.

Got a call about whether my loft insulation was up to scratch. The chap mentioned he’d already sent me a letter back in September but never said the company he was working for. He was a bit too pushy for my liking. I think he told me his name was Mr Hargreaves at some point. Wasn’t very pleased with the whole thing and just hung up.
