When told that they weren’t around and I asked who was calling, they just ended the call straight away. Tried to convince me to advertise in a newsletter which, turns out, doesn’t even exist. Might’ve sounded real to folks who aren’t into government or HMRC stuff. Pretty obvious it was a scam to get cash. Then, they phoned again from another number but didn’t pick up when called back. The very next day, they called pretending to be from the local police but obviously couldn’t keep up a proper chat, so we just ended the call. No more calls after that.
