Someone pretending to be from Santander UK rang me saying I needed to click on a link to stop a payment to a new payee. Honestly, it felt super dodgy and I’d bet it’s just a total scam. Be careful out there!

I recently received a text stating that a parcel awaits collection, complete with what appeared to be Post Office branding. However, when I checked the website linked in the message, it was a different story-no trace of Royal Mail or their digital certification anywhere. I'm inclined to believe this is a phishing attempt. I've gone ahead and reported it to Royal Mail for further scrutiny.

So, I just got a message saying I’d “been near someone who’s been isolating recently” and that I should click a link to get a test. Thing is, I’ve got the NHS app on my phone and it’s that way they notify you if you’ve been exposed, never by some random phone number sending texts. It’s obvious to me that this is a dodgy scam. I mean, if I’d actually been close to someone isolating and I’m not showing symptoms, why would I need a test? It just doesn’t add up at all. Went straight to blocking the number.

I haven't used the track and trace app either. I haven’t been anywhere near anyone outside my house, so this has got to be a scam.

Got a message from 7709640672 saying I’d been near someone with Covid and to click a link. I’m not signed up to any NHS app or anything, so this must be a dodgy number trying to trick people.
