I got a call from someone claiming to be with Santander, saying somebody was trying to put my name down as a trustee on their account. Feels a bit dodgy to me, sounds like a scam if you ask me.

If you scroll down a couple of comments, you’ll find info on what to do to help put an end to these scams. It barely takes any effort, just a quick post on this site. When reporting to the police fraud database, you don’t need to give your personal info, just the details of the scam. It might not make a difference right away, but right now the police don’t really know how widespread this problem is. I got quite a telling reply from my MP too, but honestly, unless heaps of people reporting these calls and messages, nothing much will be done to stop them.

Got a call from someone saying they were from a big bank, but it felt so fake. They tried to make it sound important, but I didn’t fall for it. Told them I’d call my bank back instead. Dodged a bullet there for sure.

I got a call from someone saying they were from a track and trace service, but the website they gave me looked really suspicious. Wouldn't trust it one bit.
