Some bloke named Benjamin rang me on this number earlier. I told him I wasn’t with TalkTalk because honestly, they’re hopeless. He didn’t seem bothered but I insisted it did matter. Then he started spouting usual rubbish about hacking, viruses, and some crazy story about a world war starting from Mars or something daft like that. So I just told him to jog on. He should count himself lucky, I could've been a lot ruder!

So this person rang me saying they were from TalkTalk’s tech support - but they were calling from a mobile, which seemed a bit off. I have caller ID, so I answered, thinking it could be someone I actually know. Honestly, I’m just glad I’m smart enough not to get caught up in any of their nonsense scams.

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be with TalkTalk. Told him I’m on the no-call list, and he just cut me off. Sounded Indian. Such a hassle!

I got in touch with TalkTalk and they told me this isn't one of their numbers. They said they’ll have it blacklisted within three days. Don’t listen to what they say, just ignore or hang up and get in touch with TalkTalk Customer Services using the proper number. TalkTalk wouldn’t ever ring you like this.

Got a call from a guy claiming there was some issue with Talk Talk. He asked if my mum had a computer, and when she said no, he just ended the call. It's awful they target elderly people like that, really unsettling for her.

I got a call from some Indian lady who said her name was Shelley, claiming my TalkTalk line was at risk or something. Got me feeling pretty annoyed, so I just ended the call straight away. Now I've blocked the number so they can't bother me again.

Definitely a scam, sounded like it was some call centre in India. I even checked with TalkTalk, and they told me they don’t call from mobile numbers and only ring if the customer has reached out first.

I got a call from this number earlier but I didn’t pick up cos I figured it was one of those scam calls pretending to be from TalkTalk. Last time, a scammer even had my phone account number, which was super convincing. Maybe TalkTalk needs to step up their security because it seems like customer info is getting leaked somewhere! Are they trying to lose customers on purpose or what? These scammers keep switching their mobile numbers too - when you block one, they ring back from another that looks nearly the same. Proper annoying!

I picked up the phone and they just hung up straight away. After reading the other comments, it seems they're probably trying to exploit those recent TalkTalk data and router security leaks. Definitely sounds shady to me, so best not to engage and just block the number if possible.

This number showed up a few times on my missed calls. When I called back, it just went straight to Vodafone voicemail. I did answer a call today from them, and the person claimed to be from TalkTalk, saying my internet connection was at risk. They asked if I was near my computer, I told them I don’t have one, then they asked about a laptop and I said no again. They hung up immediately after that. I contacted the ICO to report it, and they told me it wasn’t just a nuisance call but possibly a scam. So right now, I’m on the phone with Action Fraud at 0300 123 2040 to file a report.

Some lady said she was Andrea from Talk Talk, right? Funny, another Andrea. I wanted to chat with her boss, but she told me they're tied up. So I asked for her employee ID or something from Talk Talk. She just replied she'd get the supervisor to ring back when free. Why do these scammers choose Talk Talk? Maybe coz they have plenty of staff from Middle East with dodgy English, so it makes it easier for people like this to scam. Thinking I might just change my phone provider now...

Today I saw I missed a call from this number. I’d had a few calls just before Christmas from a very similar one and those were Talk Talk scams. Seems like the scammers have started using mobile numbers now. Once you block one, they just ring from a different one. It’s so frustrating, why can’t something be done to stop these people pestering us?
