Reports on phone number 07708873845
4 yearsHad a rather peculiar experience today, 16/11/2022. A lady called me, correctly identifying me by my first name. Naturally, I was a bit wary and inquired about her identity. She claimed to be a support worker from the council, but refused to furnish me with any further information unless I affirmed that I was indeed (my first name), which she already had. I hung up and almost immediately received another call from a different number 07759 720477. This time, it was another woman, and she too asked if I was (my name). Curious, I decided to return the initial call, and the same woman picked up. She reiterated that she wouldn’t engage with me if I weren’t (my first name) and rather ominously suggested involving the police, stating that this was serious business. I insisted that yes, that’s my name, but then, in a bit of a lapse, I divulged my last name when she requested it. To my bewilderment, she then claimed I wasn't the individual she was looking for and that someone must have misdialed. It struck me as odd: if she was indeed a support worker and familiar with this person’s voice, how on earth could there be such a mix-up? Who passed along my first name and number in the first place? It all feels rather suspicious, to say the least!4 yearsI can echo your concerns! I recently looked into this myself after receiving a suspicious message from a supposed parcel delivery service (definitely didn’t click the dodgy link they sent - that’d be a right daft move). While doing my homework, I stumbled across an alert on the trading standards website indicating that this con has been around since 2021. If you do happen to go to that link, they will shamelessly ask for all your personal information, which could end up in the hands of other fraudsters. When you pause to consider it, it makes no sense for anyone to ask for your personal information if they already have your name and address linked to a parcel. Best to steer clear of that message altogether!4 yearsReceived a message claiming they couldn't deliver a package. I’m not waiting for any deliveries and suspect this might be a scam.4 yearsSo, it seems Kevin swung by to drop off my package, but alas, I was out and about. To add to the confusion, I received a text around 1:55 in the morning with a mysterious ‘link’ for rescheduling the delivery, which was unexpected given I wasn’t even waiting for a parcel. I definitely won’t be tapping that link!Kevin4 yearsSeems Kevin fancied delivering a package in the early hours, around 4 am no less! I also received a text with a dodgy link-seriously, folks, steer clear of that link!Kevin4 yearsI've received a couple of texts claiming that a bloke named Simon and another chap called Kevin supposedly delivered my parcel today. The funny thing is, I was home both days when they said they popped round!SimonKevin4 yearsI can relate! I received a message supposedly from someone named Kevin with the exact words as well. Additionally, I got a call on Friday evening around 9 o'clock from +44 7719 055241. Did a bit of digging online and found out it’s a spammy number!Kevin4 yearsJust spotted Simon Friday and Kevin a moment ago.Simon FridayKevinSubmit Your Own Report (07708 873845)
