Received a suspicious text from a number claiming to be a mate, said their phone was dead and asked if I could text another number, 07761632182, straight away. I got in touch with that number and they acted like the person I thought it was, said they’d fallen and broken their phone, asked if I could lend them money for a new one as they couldn’t get to the bank until Friday. When I rang back, no answer but they kept replying to messages super quick. Things started to feel a bit threatening. I’ve reported the whole thing to the police now.
