I think this might be some kind of scam. For one thing, why mention Omicron instead of just saying Covid19? And also, I never got any notification on the NHS Covid19 app about this. Seems fishy to me.

Got a message from the NHS saying I might have been near someone with Omicron. Seems dodgy to me since they never said who I supposedly met or where it happened. Feels like a scam to me.
