I called up HSBC near me because I’m not an account holder and gave them the phone number that called, and they told me straight away it’s a scam. Pretty much the same thing happened as the previous message here.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from HSBC saying there was some weird activity on my account and asked me to reset my online banking via a sketchy link. Definitely sounded like a scam to me!

Got a text from this number pretending to be HSBC, said there was some weird activity on my account and gave a link to click. I’ve never had an HSBC account, so I knew straight away it was dodgy. Don’t click the link or anything, it’s definitely a scam! Just ignore messages like this, they’re trying to trick you.
