This was a total scam. Got a message saying “SANTANDER: A device has just been added. If this wasn’t done by you, check here: fake link.” The thing is, I don’t have an account with Santander at all.

Just got a dodgy text saying - SANTANDER - Your mobile banking has a new device added. If it wasn't you, check: helpdesk.stop-addons.com. Reported it by sending to 7726 to try stop these scammers. Also added number to block list.

I got this dodgy message saying something like “SANTANDER - a brand new device has been linked to your mobile banking.” Obviously I didn’t tap on any links! If you didn’t do it either, the text says to go to a website (which they included). Seems fishy to me.
