CAB (not real) This was obviously a scam, got a call earlier from someone claiming to be from the Citizens Advice Bureau about some debt I supposedly owe, which I don’t. When I said I didn’t owe anything, they just ended the call.

They rang me two times yesterday and once more today. When I tried to ring back yesterday it said the number wasn’t valid. I answered today but put down straight away as soon as I heard the Indian accent.

Just like a lot of others have said. I got a call from a bloke with quite a strong Indian accent, saying I owed money and they could assist me in sorting it out. When I asked for their charity’s contact details and their official registration number, he got really annoyed and kept interrupting me, saying I needed to give him info before he could help. He claimed to be from a charity called Debt Advice based in London. I’ve tried reporting this through the ICO and TPS but haven’t had any luck yet!

I’ve let this number ring out a couple of times today ‘cos I was tied up, but next time they try me, I’m gonna pretend I’m keen and feed them a bunch of made-up info just to mess about and waste their time.

I picked up thinking it was a personal call since it was from a mobile. Some bloke with a foreign accent started saying I had unsecured loans. When I asked him to take me off their list cos I don’t have any loans like that, he actually called me a liar! Blocked the number straight away.

Best to just block this number. I got a call from them saying "I'm calling about some unpaid debts, yes?" I said no. Then this angry bloke, who sounded like he might be Indian, started shouting "No, no, no, no wrong, wrong, wrong, you idiot!" Honestly, one of the strangest cold calls I've ever had. The guy legit sounded mental. Just don't bother with it.

Got a call from this number today, 10th May 17, and the person said they were calling from Citizens Advice, offering help with my debts. I told them nicely to take my details off their list and not to ring me again. Now I'm trying to figure out what company they’re actually from so I can make a proper complaint about how they handled it.

Got two calls from this number today. The accent sounded quite foreign. When I asked who it was, they just hung up. It sounds just like another call I got earlier from 01603 733979, all happening in one day.

I picked up thinkin it was from a mobile number. Some bloke said he was from C A B, said I showed up on some list and might get government aid to clear my debts. Asked them to send info by email but they refused without some kinda verification. Told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call! Seemed quite dodgy to me!

Got a call from a bloke with an accent, said he was from some high court enforcement about money I supposedly owe. I told him I ain’t got no debts and he just hung up straight away! I've blocked the number now.

Someone called saying they were from some debt collection or investigation team trying to sort out debts I supposedly owe (which I don’t). They kept insisting they wanted to help me. When I told them I have a steady job and always keep up with my bills, and asked them to take me off their list, I got cut off. Definitely avoid these calls!

Got a call from a guy with really poor English, saying someone suggested I do his daughter's nails (I own a nail salon). Then he gave me an old address that I haven’t lived at for more than a year, plus I never had my business there. When I told him my shop was nowhere near that place, he said it didn’t matter and that he’d come tomorrow, but I never gave him the actual shop address! When I mentioned that, he said he'd ring back. It all felt a bit weird, so I searched online and found loads of similar stories!

Since it was a mobile number, I picked up. A woman with a foreign accent said she was from the citizens advice bureau and wanted to assist with my debt issues. She started asking about credit cards and loans, but as soon as I told her I'd never had any of those, she just ended the call straight away.

I decided to pick up this number out of curiosity to find out who it was. It turned out to be a man with a foreign accent saying he worked for the Citizen Advice Bureau and wanted to help with my debt issues. When I asked where he got my details from, he just repeated the same thing and when I pressed him again, he ended the call! How are they allowed to say they’re from the CAB?
