My mother-in-law got a call from this number, and I reckon it's just another business cold call. It’s quite unsettling for elderly people though. Because of this, we decided to cancel the visit she was planning to make.

This week, some elderly folks in Luton got calls from this number, 07706566827. Apparently, it’s from a company trying to organise home visits, but luckily the three older people who answered were smart enough to say no and didn’t let anyone into their homes. They’ve even reported it to the police just in case.

Some bloke claiming to be from 'Crime and Safety Awareness UK' called me. He was really polite and said there are people nearby demonstrating a new safety device for phones that can automatically contact emergency services, like medics or in cases of flooding. I told him I’d be googling their details, and he didn’t seem bothered by that at all. I tried looking them up myself, but couldn’t find any info anywhere. He gave me a number to call back, but I’m definitely not planning to ring them again! The call came from 01704 524539 and I've added a note for that number too.

Today (07/08/19), I got a call from a woman who said she was our local Safety Awareness adviser. She seemed really eager to set up a visit from their team. When I asked for a callback number, she gave me 07706566827, claiming it was Jack Lloyd's number, the area manager of Crime Awareness UK. I tried looking them up online but came up with nothing. Using a 1471 service revealed the number 01174430012, though my phone only displayed “incoming call” without showing a number. I’m definitely not going to be returning their call.

I got a call supposedly from the "crime safety awareness campaign" telling me they wanted to come by and chat about security stuff. They said they’d give me a free personal alarm and even a £75 M&S voucher if I agreed. They gave me a mobile number for the manager: 07706566827. This happened in the Berkshire area.

Some bloke called saying he was from a crime and safety campaign and wanted to drop by my place. I checked with the local cops here in Northumberland and they had no clue about any such service. So, I told him no way to coming over.
