I received a text from this number claiming to be my son, telling me he’d got a new phone and this was his updated contact. A few hours afterwards, they sent another message asking if I could loan them £650, promising to repay by the week’s end. Shortly after, I got more details - a name, Ricky Sherwood, plus a sort code and account number supposedly from Starling online bank. Just a heads up - this is definitely a con artist.
