In the backround, you could hear what sounded like kids messing about. Since I don’t live in any council house, I was immediately suspicious. When I told her I hadn’t reported any damage and that my property’s privately owned, she hung up right away. Honestly, just block this number if it rings you - it's definitely a scam.2 yearsI got a call at about 3:30 in the afternoon from a woman who said she was from council housing. When I asked her to confirm my address, she rattled it off perfectly. Then I asked if she knew whether I was on a private tenancy or council, and she insisted it was council. That immediately felt off. She sounded like she was from somewhere up north and there were kids playing loudly behind her.
