Sounds like a scam call to me. They hung up pretty quick, so I didn't get the full story, but what worried me was how much private info they seemed to know - mentioned stuff like PPI claims and all that. Definitely felt a bit dodgy.

Some bloke rang up claiming I’d asked about a tax refund online ages ago - like nearly a year back - which I never did. When I said I didn’t remember anything like that, he said maybe I’d just forgotten since it was so long ago?! Then he says they don’t want my bank info, just my NI and DOB. Yeah right, sounded dodgy as hell. I’ve blocked the number and marked it as spam straight away.

I got a call from someone with a proper English accent who sounded really sure of themselves. They told me I was owed a tax refund. I told them that can't be the case since I've only recently started my job. They then mentioned I could claim some tax back because pension deductions were still being made. When I said it all seemed a bit fishy and that I was actually thinking about adding to my pension myself, they seemed to catch on and ended the call. Not entirely sure if it was a scam, but something about it didn’t sit well with me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from tax advice, instantly blocked and marked as spam. Reported it straight away.
