Someone called me saying they were royal mail about a parcel that supposedly hadn’t been delivered and asked for all my info plus a payment before sending it again. I checked with royal mail and they said the tracking number they gave me wasn’t even valid for any of my packages. Definitely a scam!

I've received a rather dodgy notification, supposedly from Royal Mail, about a parcel that I've apparently missed. It had a request for some sort of unpaid fee. Initially, it landed in my email inbox but was flagged by my internet security as suspicious. Afterwards, it popped up on my mobile messaging, using my phone number. However, the tracking number provided doesn’t seem to match anything in Royal Mail's system. This all took place on the 9th and 10th of April, by the way. Very peculiar!

Exactly the same situation here - received messages on both the 9th and 10th. The fact that they used a mobile number immediately raised my suspicions, and I dismissed it straight away.

I've been receiving dodgy delivery notifications regarding parcels that I haven't ordered at all. It's really concerning how these scams are becoming more prevalent.
