Some lady with an Asian accent rang me, said she was from 3 Mobile. She said they’d send me a new SIM within a few days and that my phone would get disconnected otherwise. She asked for my email to ‘verify’ stuff and kept me on the line for a good 3 or 4 minutes. Then she said it might take another 5 to 10 minutes. I got fed up and just ended the call. When I checked the number, someone else said they got a call from them too, but the caller claimed to be from HMRC. Definitely seems like a scam to me. Could be worse, but at the very least it’s just annoying harassment.
