Each time I reiterated that I had no connection to Amazon, they grew increasingly adamant that I had fallen victim to identity theft, and some rogue account was draining my bank balance. When I pointed out that my bank statement showed no unauthorised transactions, their tone turned quite hostile, urging me to act immediately to secure a refund.
