I got a call from a bloke saying he was with BT OPENREACH and that my IP had switched from personal to business. But according to Openreach themselves, they never ring customers out of the blue. Then I looked up the number here and saw it’s linked to TELEFONICA UK LTD. I left a message on their website asking why their number was apparently being used by scammers, but their reply didn’t make any sense and seemed like they just didn’t get what I was asking. Feels like Telefónica UK might actually be linked to this scam issue, but it’s a bit confusing!
