Got this random recorded call from a woman with a British accent claiming to be from some ‘bank security team’. She said there were two dodgy transactions on my card earlier today. Surprise surprise, the first was £199 supposedly for ‘Amazon’ and the second was £899 for ‘Zoom’, just like those usual scams. They asked me to hit 1 to approve or 2 to cancel and chat with their ‘security staff’. My advice? Don’t press any buttons at all - just hang up and block the number. It’s the classic scam routine, best to just ignore it.
